Dana Baines

The Private Institutional Client (PIC) Desk is a Raymond James offering to serve ultra-high-net-worth, family office, and other institutional clients through unique investments, lending capabilities and cross-asset solutions.

Dana Baines focuses on private markets distribution for the PIC Desk. Prior to joining Raymond James, Dana served as the head of Capital Markets & Business Development at Octant Partners, a generalist merchant banking platform focused on global M&A transactions. Before Octant, she spent a decade focusing on raising capital from global institutional investors for funds and direct transactions in private real estate and credit investment firms including Vӓrde Partners, Rialto Capital Management, Thor Equities and The Praedium Group.

Dana holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University, where she also competed as an NCAA Division 1 fencer. Dana resides in New York City. She is passionate about supporting diversity and inclusion and is a member of the Raymond James Global Wealth Solutions DEI Committee. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, skiing, and surfing.
